The passion of Bethel Seminary is to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ among all people in culturally sensitive ways. As a Spirit-empowered, biblically grounded community of learning, Bethel strives to develop and equip whole and holy persons to serve and lead so that churches and ministry agencies can become all they are called to be and do all they are called to do in the world for the glory of God.

Bethel's vision statement becomes a reality through a commitment to:

  • A worldwide scope and culturally specific focus of God's redemptive activity
  • A Spirit-empowered, biblically grounded community of learning
  • An urgency to develop and equip whole and holy persons
  • A focus on serving and leading churches and ministry organizations
  • The ultimate purpose of glorifying God

Life's many pressures—frenetic lifestyles, relational poverty, competing value systems, and uncertain futures—produce needs that can only be met by Christ. These needs lead people to seek spiritual meaning, ethical clarity, relational intimacy, and practical answers. As a result, ministry itself has become exceedingly complex, demanding, and ever-changing. Obsolescence early in ministry is a real danger for pastors and parachurch staff.

Today's pastors and ministry leaders must be willing to look beyond their immediate circumstances and learn new ways to proclaim the gospel and build up the church. Bethel Seminary wants to help make a difference in your personal life, your local ministry, and the world at large.

Bethel Seminary is dedicated to producing transformed, godly leaders for 21st-century ministry. Transformational leadership requires transformed hearts, and transformed hearts produce transformed lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.
