Master of Nursing

CSU’s Master of Nursing program provides registered nurses with an opportunity to build on their undergraduate learning, extend their clinical focus and develop research related skills.

Students may tailor their study to suit particular areas of interest and experience, by electing from four areas of specialisation: Rural Nursing, Management, Nursing Education and Mental Health Nursing.

On completion of the first 64 points of study (including credit), students may exit the program with a Postgraduate Diploma in the area of specialisation.

Bachelor of Nursing Science

The Bachelor of Nursing Science is a post-Registered Nurse (RN) four-year degree designed to give qualified RNs the opportunity to update their qualifications to degree level.

As a registered nurse with a degree, you are in a good position to further your career in all areas of nursing practice, education or management. The Bachelor of Nursing Science is an investment in your future.

Master of Social Science (Criminology)

CSU’s Master of Social Science (Criminology) is practical and flexible in nature, with professional relevance to police and legal, justice and correctional agency personnel.

The course has been developed taking into account the occupational interests of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, legal and criminal justice personnel including prison, probation and parole workers. Students complete a minor dissertation that is preferably relevant to their work setting.

Master of Arts (Terrorism, Safety and Security)

CSU’s Terrorism, Safety and Security program aims to develop and increase the knowledge-base of practitioners in the fields of counterterrorism, safety and security.

Master of Arts (Investigations Management)

CSU’s Investigations Management program is designed to meet the educational needs and enhance the skills of experienced investigators, and to help prepare investigators for management roles.

Master of Arts (Fraud and Financial Investigation)

CSU’s Fraud and Financial Investigation program is a series of courses aiming to meet the educational needs of those with responsibility for fraud investigation and prevention in the police, the public and corporate sectors.

These courses have been developed in collaboration with the Commercial Crime Agency of the NSW Police Force and the private sector.

These courses are nationally accredited and registered awards in tertiary education.

Master of Arts (Fire Investigation)

CSU’s Fire Investigation program is a series of courses aiming to develop and increase the knowledge of practitioners in the field of fire investigation. They aim to improve professional standards by the application of knowledge of sound investigative practice together with an understanding of fire dynamics, fire causation and fire setting motives.

Course participants will be exposed to current investigative best practice, the physics of fire behaviour and theories of deviance associated with fire setting.

Master of Arts (Criminal Intelligence)

CSU’s Criminal Intelligence program is intended to provide law enforcement and intelligence professionals, whether they are in the police, public or private sectors with the opportunity to undertake studies at postgraduate level in the area of intelligence.

These courses are designed particularly to meet the growing needs of the intelligence-led paradigm in law enforcement and compliance. The subjects in the course cover a range of areas relevant to promoting sound industry relevant practice in the intelligence officer.

Doctor of Policing and Security

CSU’s Doctor of Policing and Security is a coursework doctorate designed for law enforcement and other government security and emergency personnel. It provides the opportunity for personal development and the in-depth exploratory study of a professional area of practice.

The purpose of the course is to provide a coursework doctorate designed to suit the individual educational and professional development requirements of law enforcement and other government security and emergency personnel.

CSU’s Bachelor of Social Science (Emergency Management) focuses on the principles and practices associated with prevention, preparedness, response and recovery associated with emergency situations and emergency risk management.
