Bachelor of Science in Leadership & Ministry

Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies with a professional core in Leadership and Ministry

You have a dream to complete your degree and believe you are called to ministry or leadership in the local church or other organizations. How do you juggle the responsibilities of family, career, church, civic obligations plus the demands of being a full time student?

Master of Theology

CSU’s Master of Theology course is designed to give a broad grasp of the major issues in contemporary theology, to establish a sound knowledge and facility in the use of the appropriate methods in theological study, and advanced knowledge of at least one major sub-discipline.

Upon completion of the Master of Theology degree, it is expected that students will be able to:

* articulate a broad understanding of the scope and disciplines of theological study
* show advanced competence in methods of theological research

Master of Ministry

CSU’s Master of Ministry aims to assist practising clergy and other church leaders to upgrade their knowledge and skills at an advanced level. The courses includes specialist study in particular fields of ministry, and a research option may also be undertaken.

The Master of Ministry aims to assist Religious Practitioners and other church leaders to upgrade their knowledge and skills at an advanced level. The course aims to:

* provide opportunities for professional development at the Masters level in the field of professional ministry

Master of Arts (Public and Contextual Theology)

CSU's Master of Arts (Public and Contextual Theology) builds on previous study in a given discipline through the addition of advanced knowledge and skills in the discipline of Public and Contextual Theology, thus enabling students to develop a mastery of the field for their professional or ministerial practice.

Master of Arts (Pastoral Counselling)

CSU’s Pastoral Counselling program is designed to extend the academic qualifications of people working in pastoral and clinical counselling or ministry settings, including clergy and laity.

Pastoral care and counselling skills are exercised in a variety of institutional settings within the overall framework of the churches in Australia at the corporate and congregational levels of denominations, universities, military, corrective services, police, ambulance, trade and industry, and like situations.

Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies)

CSU’s Ageing and Pastoral Studies courses are intended to prepare graduates from a variety of backgrounds in aged care, including health professionals, pastoral workers and clergy, to provide appropriate holistic care to older adults.

The Graduate Certificate articulates with the Graduate Diploma and credit is awarded in the Graduate Diploma for all subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate. Upon completion of either course, credit of up to 32 points may also be awarded towards the Master of Arts (Ageing and Pastoral Studies).

Bachelor of Theology

CSU’s Bachelor of Theology is offered in conjunction with St Mark’s National Theological Centre in Canberra and United Theological College in North Parramatta, to equip students to undertake lay religious ministry functions or to pursue ordination.
The Bachelor of Theology aims to deepen students’ faith understanding in whatever context they live or work.

Master of Nursing

CSU’s Master of Nursing program provides registered nurses with an opportunity to build on their undergraduate learning, extend their clinical focus and develop research related skills.

Students may tailor their study to suit particular areas of interest and experience, by electing from four areas of specialisation: Rural Nursing, Management, Nursing Education and Mental Health Nursing.

On completion of the first 64 points of study (including credit), students may exit the program with a Postgraduate Diploma in the area of specialisation.

Bachelor of Nursing Science

The Bachelor of Nursing Science is a post-Registered Nurse (RN) four-year degree designed to give qualified RNs the opportunity to update their qualifications to degree level.

As a registered nurse with a degree, you are in a good position to further your career in all areas of nursing practice, education or management. The Bachelor of Nursing Science is an investment in your future.
